The MDS Vulnerability or Microarchitectural Data Sampling is the latest vulnerability that is similar to the Meltdown and Spectre that was announced several months back. It involves the exploitation of certain execution features in the Intel CPUs using the MDS. This affects all Intel Xeon and Core CPUs going back to 2011, but were only recently discovered.
We at Future Hosting take the security of your data seriously and have been working strenuously to ensure that all of our affected servers are patched in-conjunction with best practise and the latest releases.
You may have not heard of this particular nasty vulnerability because it has been kept quiet until fixes have been released. This is known as the Coordinated Disclosure. It was designed to ensure that in particular cases vulnerabilities are not publicised until there are fixes in place to limit the damage done and we the Server community can defend against them.  The first to get the patch release will be the Global Large Players of Amazon AWS (so some of our services there were patched) then Microsoft's Azure and Google have mitigated the issue on their data centres.
To let you know we have now officially rolled out to all our servers the latest patch and are now secure against this and all previously released vulnerabilities (we were then also within moments of the patches been released). Our Noc (network Operations Centre) were and always on the case 24/7.
